Redefining Possibilities

A life transformed by personal development is a sight to behold.

Ahhh… the dream life. We like to close our eyes and imagine it, right? I don’t know what yours looks like, but mine is a combination of things I could probably take from dream to reality, to ones that seem plain-out unattainable. In reading that last sentence back, I noticed one of the big problems that most of us face. I said probably. I not only wrote it, I thought it and worst of all I felt it.

We grow up hearing that anything’s possible, but there’s a problem with that expression and it can easily set us up for failure. Anything’s not possible unless it’s backed up with the type of thoughts which get us moving. And, you don’t realistically begin moving unless you’re shifting the negative thoughts that tend to creep in about a gazillion different things. It’s no wonder why so many of us feel defeated before we even get started.

How do we begin to change this around? For me, I continually remind myself that if my thoughts lead me towards taking action, then those thoughts have to empower me to walk forward courageously. They need to whisper in my ear that words like maybe and possibly don’t serve me, and that I need to squash them down and replace them with words that help fuel my confidence. My thoughts need to be a part of the solution, plain and simple.

It would be nice if there was a comfy one-size-fits-all solution, but in all honesty it’s going to be different for each and every one of us. Experimenting to find what works best is a big part of the journey. I believe that a good first step is an openness to begin before you feel ready. This sounds harder than it actually is. If you’re determined, you’ll begin. It’s as simple as that. Add in a heartfelt commitment to move forward with confidence (even if you have to pump yourself up each and every time). Also, work on catching any negativity and turn it around so it doesn’t stop you in your tracks.

Nobody’s dream is going to just land in their lap, so if you really want to see yourself in a different place, you’ll need to work on this stuff daily. Redefining the possibilities is a matter of going for what you want with gusto and making the impossible, possible. It’s about having faith, seeking out what works, and refining it until you see steady progress. If you’re consistent and keep your eyes on the prize, I have no doubt that before you know it, you’ll be telling the tale of how you became wildly successful and began “livin’ the dream. Here’s to your success!

WHO’S L.B.? (LETTY)

She’s someone who’s led an unglamorous life in order to follow her passion. Her biggest desire, even while earning her college degree, was to be a loving and hands-on-mom.

“Give someone else the JOY and privilege? Definitely not part of the plan.”

She spent 25 years working nights so she could enjoy being mom during the day. No regrets, just gratefulness. She worked with only two companies over a 30 year span and focused on representing those companies with excellence. Her understanding of the client-business relationship grew and her skills in areas like putting the customer’s needs first, multi-tasking effectively, boosting sales, training others to do the same and being an extension of her management, deepened.

She now combines 3 decades of experience to help small companies, entrepreneurs, life coaches and solopreneurs experience their dreams faster by becoming an integral part of their success. She’s loyal to a tee, fun, personable and dedicated to improving the lives of those around her personally and professionally.

The primary words that drive her revolve around the letter C, interestingly enough. Here’s a glimpse… Copywriting, Content Creation, Communication, Contribution, Continuous learning and growth and a Curiousness that will help her seek out the key elements that’ll help her tell your story in a way that earns trust.
