Are You Missing Out?

A life transformed by personal development is a sight to behold.

There are moments in life where we need to fly solo. It can be something we look forward to, or something we dread. In some cases, it’s a bit of both. Can you remember back to when you were learning to ride a bike? You may have experienced a mix of emotions, but despite the wobbly start, you pushed through the fear and learned how to ride. Had you sat on the sidelines, you would’ve never experienced the freedom it brings, and you would’ve missed out on all the unforeseen adventures. It’s in the doing that we get to discover what lies ahead, right?

As a mother of three, I jumped into the role of helping my kids experience these types of moments. I got so caught up making sure they were good, happy and growing that I kind of stopped growing myself. Motherhood, to me, was all about giving, and I loved giving. I felt completely in my element. The thing I got wrong was not understanding that putting myself on the back burner held me back from being the best mom I could’ve possibly been.

I simply didn’t know better. Had I known then, what I know now, I would’ve been first in line to do all the things that would’ve helped me grow. Have you heard the expression that goes something like, you can’t know what you don’t know, until you know? It’s similar to the experience you get on a bike. You can’t know what it feels like until the wind’s actually blowing through your hair and you’re enjoying the simple joy of riding. Now that I understand this concept, I’m very intentional about seeking out personal growth. And, the me before who would’ve felt like focusing on myself was a bit selfish, has learned first hand that it’s actually selfless and benefits us all.

If there are limiting beliefs holding you back, the first step is to simply identify them. Just by doing that, you’re already a step ahead of the rest. If you embrace this concept, and by embracing it I mean you walk it out, your daily choices begin shifting those old beliefs to new ones that actually serve you. A growth mindset changes everything for the good. It helps you feel more empowered, helps you move differently and allows you to experience life more fully.
Like anything, practice makes perfect. It may never be perfect-perfect, but you know what I mean. It gets easier to commit once you’re seeing results and realizing that your daily choices is what got you there. The better you get at this, the better you can show up for the ones you love, which is what most of us strive to do from the get-go.

WHO’S L.B.? (LETTY)

She’s someone who’s led an unglamorous life in order to follow her passion. Her biggest desire, even while earning her college degree, was to be a loving and hands-on-mom.

“Give someone else the JOY and privilege? Definitely not part of the plan.”

She spent 25 years working nights so she could enjoy being mom during the day. No regrets, just gratefulness. She worked with only two companies over a 30 year span and focused on representing those companies with excellence. Her understanding of the client-business relationship grew and her skills in areas like putting the customer’s needs first, multi-tasking effectively, boosting sales, training others to do the same and being an extension of her management, deepened.

She now combines 3 decades of experience to help small companies, entrepreneurs, life coaches and solopreneurs experience their dreams faster by becoming an integral part of their success. She’s loyal to a tee, fun, personable and dedicated to improving the lives of those around her personally and professionally.

The primary words that drive her revolve around the letter C, interestingly enough. Here’s a glimpse… Copywriting, Content Creation, Communication, Contribution, Continuous learning and growth and a Curiousness that will help her seek out the key elements that’ll help her tell your story in a way that earns trust.
