Crystal Clear

A life transformed by personal development is a sight to behold.

(Blog 4 in a series of 12)

When was the last time something came into your life that made you wonder? For me, it was the concept of clarity. When we begin to grasp the depth of what this concept has to offer we realize that the more time we invest, the better we get to know ourselves and what we truly desire deep down. That knowledge shifts how we live life, and if we’re honest about what we truly want, it will lead us to a life filled with lots more joy.

In my last blog, I wrote about making an out of the blue decision to change what I was doing workwise. I had no idea if that meant going into another career, beginning a non-profit, starting a successful business or going into full-on entrepreneurship. Instead of just going with what intrigued me most, my coach helped me realize that I had to begin by seeking clarity and once I did that, I’d better understand myself and what it was I wanted.

The one thing I knew at this point was that my choices and decisions had never been based around just me and now I needed to hone in on just that, me. That’s a hard one, as a mom, but I knew that if I was going to create the shift I was hoping for I had to do things differently, and this was the first step. A few questions I began contemplating were what did I truly want, why did I want those things and how could I make them happen.

Seeking clarity is about putting in the time and being consistent with that effort. It helps you begin to move differently because you understand yourself better. For me, the concept that I didn’t know myself as well as I thought really surprised me. What I discovered was that there were levels of who I was and what I wanted that I’d never tapped into.

Living like this means we’re just skimming the surface of our potential. There’s so much more to life than working day in and day out, and when we become aware of it, we’re able to begin taking steps to discover what that “so much more” is all about. If we’re consistent, we’ll experience life differently and reach new heights. We either fully commit to figuring things out or continue to live in a sort of wishy-washy way, which means our results will continue to reflect just that.

I didn’t want to have average results any more and I didn’t want to always be worried about just keeping my head above water, so I committed wholeheartedly. My coach shared how he’d begun this process and continued to just take steps forward to better know himself and what he wanted as he intentionally made choices to support the life he was shooting for. The visual was incredibly helpful and inspired me to begin taking steps in my own life.

New journeys are always exciting, but there are a lot of questions along the way. Sharing those with someone and learning from their experiences will help you better succeed. You’ll reach new heights and be able to look back and see more growth than if you’d just relied on yourself for all the answers. The moral of the story is that you’re not an island. Letting others in, especially people like life coaches who can give you crazy amounts of insight and guidance, is not only smart, but it will lead to you being a happier you. Not a bad goal to shoot for, right?

WHO’S L.B.? (LETTY)

She’s someone who’s led an unglamorous life in order to follow her passion. Her biggest desire, even while earning her college degree, was to be a loving and hands-on-mom.

“Give someone else the JOY and privilege? Definitely not part of the plan.”

She spent 25 years working nights so she could enjoy being mom during the day. No regrets, just gratefulness. She worked with only two companies over a 30 year span and focused on representing those companies with excellence. Her understanding of the client-business relationship grew and her skills in areas like putting the customer’s needs first, multi-tasking effectively, boosting sales, training others to do the same and being an extension of her management, deepened.

She now combines 3 decades of experience to help small companies, entrepreneurs, life coaches and solopreneurs experience their dreams faster by becoming an integral part of their success. She’s loyal to a tee, fun, personable and dedicated to improving the lives of those around her personally and professionally.

The primary words that drive her revolve around the letter C, interestingly enough. Here’s a glimpse… Copywriting, Content Creation, Communication, Contribution, Continuous learning and growth and a Curiousness that will help her seek out the key elements that’ll help her tell your story in a way that earns trust.
