Fading Joy

A life transformed by personal development is a sight to behold.

Have you ever experienced an unexpected shift; the kind that chips away at your joy, your sense of balance, and your overall well-being? It happens so subtly, you’re none the wiser. You almost feel as if you’ve failed to recognize your day-to-day feelings. You begin to wonder how you got here, and if you’ll ever find your way back. Just me?

A couple years ago our family moved from one state to another, and there was a beautiful sense of joy that accompanied our new adventure.  As life began to unfold, my joy began to fade. Things had shifted, and for the first time in a long time, my life felt out of balance.  As an optimist I assured myself there was nothing to worry about, except things felt different this time around. I felt stuck, I felt worried and I felt unsure.

In the midst of the worry, an opportunity to dive into personal development crossed my path and I was instantly intrigued. It seemed to offer a fresh perspective on how to grow in areas I wasn’t aware I was lacking, a chance to know myself better (was that a thing?) and a sense that if I wholly committed, I could accomplish goals I’d only dreamed about. I found myself thinking, where do I sign up? I had no idea if personal development would hold the answers I was looking for, but it offered me three things I really needed. It offered me a way to begin, the hope of getting unstuck and new concepts that held promise for a much brighter future.

On day one of having a life coach I met a stranger who’s become one of my favorite people. He provided me with a safe space where I didn’t need to be anything to anybody. It was something I’d never envisioned having and I needed more than I realized. The sessions were a time for me to focus on myself and begin to re-discover parts of me I’d lost along the way. It was also a time for me to tell my story, explore where I wanted to go and partner with someone who’d help me strategize how best to get me there. Along the way, he continued to teach me concepts that would change my life, and by way of ripple effect change the lives of others. Having a life coach was an unimaginable gift. And it was the first one I’d given myself in a very long time.

I had no idea what to expect after my first session, but when I hung up the phone I felt heard, encouraged, excited, and challenged. I knew that letting someone in was the best thing I could’ve ever done. I now had someone in my corner who’d help me find the courage to create the changes I was aiming for. Our coaching sessions were essential in getting me to the place I’m at today where my day-to-day consists of being intentional and practicing habits that are helping me map out a better future. My sense of well-being has been restored and I have all the joy I need to live my life the way I’ve always envisioned living it.

Who’s L.B.? (Letty)

She’s someone who’s led an unglamorous life in order to follow her passion. Her biggest desire, even while earning her college degree, was to be a loving and hands-on-mom.

“Give someone else the JOY and privilege? Definitely not part of the plan.”

She spent 25 years working nights so she could enjoy being mom during the day. No regrets, just gratefulness. She worked with only two companies over a 30 year span and focused on representing those companies with excellence. Her understanding of the client-business relationship grew and her skills in areas like putting the customer’s needs first, multi-tasking effectively, boosting sales, training others to do the same and being an extension of her management, deepened.

She now combines 3 decades of experience to help small companies, entrepreneurs, life coaches and solopreneurs experience their dreams faster by becoming an integral part of their success. She’s loyal to a tee, fun, personable and dedicated to improving the lives of those around her personally and professionally.

The primary words that drive her revolve around the letter C, interestingly enough. Here’s a glimpse… Copywriting, Content Creation, Communication, Contribution, Continuous learning and growth and a Curiousness that will help her seek out the key elements that’ll help her tell your story in a way that earns trust.
